Pledgeship
is a trial period during which one can determine whether his
mode of living is adaptable to that of the Phi Alpha Kappa
members. Pledgeship is not membership, but it entails the
development of an active interest in the fraternity and its
mode of organization and operation.Pledgeship
lasts two semesters, after which a pledge may be voted into
full membership. Pledgeship at Phi Alpha Kappa is focused
on true brotherhood and integrating the pledges into the
house. Though many have impressions of fraternities that
involve hazing and humiliation, we accept members based
on who they are and what they stand for, not on what they
put up with.
